Wingman ("we", "us", "our") operates afwingman.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
We are not affiliated with the U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, or any U.S. Government entity. Wingman is an independent commercial service.
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
Profile information: Your name, rank, AFSC, duty title, and unit information as you enter it.
Data you choose to enter: Information you choose to track such as roles, notes, and performance data. You control what you enter.
Usage data: Basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages accessed. We use this for security and debugging only.
Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers — Stripe handles all payment processing under their own privacy policy.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (US-based infrastructure). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit via HTTPS. File uploads (such as training certificates) are stored on DigitalOcean Spaces with server-side encryption.
We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of a security issue, contact us immediately at official@afwingman.com.
When you use Wingman AI features (bullet refinement, counseling drafts, EPB drafting, etc.), your inputs are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic processes these requests under their own privacy policy available at anthropic.com/privacy.
Do not enter classified, FOUO, or sensitive PII in AI prompts. Treat AI input fields as you would any commercial cloud service.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can request an export of your data at any time by emailing official@afwingman.com.

We use session cookies strictly necessary for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we only use essential cookies.
Wingman is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
